We finally got new cell phones this week. And ditched at&t too. We had OK service with them but really crappy customer service. Plus Sprint had much better monthly prices...if you can call $130 a month (COUGH!) for two phones a good price. Now I've got a shiny new purple Blackberry and I tell you this thing is so different from my last phone that I think I need to take a class on how to use this thing. I already love the fact that I can surf the web on my phone or play music or get on Facebook easily but some things annoy me. I can't figure out how to quit getting alerts each time I get an email. I like that I can check my email if I want but don't want an icon to pop up each time I get an email. I know probably all I have to do is uncheck some box or something but haven't had the time to figure it out yet. I also haven't figured out how to move my contacts over from my old phone because whatever application you need is corrupt in my old phone. So if I havent' called you in a while that probably means I don't have your number plugged in my new phone yet. I'll get there though. Eventually. One other thing I can't figure out on my Blackberry is how to get only status updates only in my facebook feed. On my desktop I changed the settings so I don't see all of the "so and so is playing this game" notifications but can't figure out how to do this on my phone. So far it seems that the Blackberry doesn't have a very long battery life either. This might be because each time I get an email and the little icon pops up I feel like I have to check it immediately just to make that little icon go away. Gotta figure out how to get rid of that so I'm not checking my email so often and I'm sure that will help with the battery life. But YAY! A new phone! I can actually HEAR the person I'm calling! It always takes a while to get familiar with a new phone but once I do I usually end up loving it. Ooh, so shiny! Pretty purple case with not a scratch on it. Yet. Easton dropped it for the first time today and I thought I was going to have a heart attack. New silicon cover + lcd screen protector ordered shortly after that. :)

Let me know if you figure out how to get it to stop beeping every time you get an email. I still haven't and I always check too cause i don't know if it's a text or not. Maybe if there is some way to make them have different tones? There is a hard protection case called the body glove that i got for ours. I dropped mine the first day I had it and definitely knew I would need something. The other ones seem real flimsy to me. Although it only comes in black, and since you got pretty purple I wouldn't want to hide it:) I haven't really had the battery life problem. It's a great phone once you get used to it!
