What was supposed to do yesteray: Take Easton to Jumbo's Pumpkin Patch for the 1st time, take some pictures, get some pumpkins and some apple cider and spend the evening relaxing on the couch w/my honey.

What I actually did yesterday: Spend 7 hours in the emergency room

As ya'll know, I've been feeling pretty awful lately. All last week, I spent on the couch or in bed trying my darndest not to throw up. By Thursday, I had tried every single home-remedy for morning sickness I could think of, read about or search for on the internet. I called my dr's office and asked if there was any medication they could prescribe me that would help. She said "Yes. Let's try Phenergan." I told her that I'd taken Phenergan once before and only one dose knocked me out and I slept for a day and a half and that I could not do that and still take care of my son. She said "OK, I'll call you in something."

I called the pharmacy later to see if the prescription was ready and they said it was. I asked what she had called in for me. Phenergan! Huh? Was that nurse hard of hearing or something? I called her back and explained for a 2nd time that I could not take that medicine and still be awake enough to take care of Easton. She said "Well, I've already called it in. You should try it and if that doesn't work, go to the E.R. AAARRRGGHH!!

So, I went to the E.R.yesterday. 7 hours, 2 tries at giving 6 vials of blood, 2 ultrasounds later, they gave me a shot of Zofran, a turkey sandwich, a picture of my teeny tiny baby and sent me home with directions to follow up with my doctor.

And if my dr's nurse had actually listened to me like she's supposed to and prescribed Zofran for nausea like I asked when I called her the 2nd time, the whole ER trip could have been avoided. I have half a mind to send her the bill. Or at the very least, puke on her shoes next time I see her. Thanks for nothin' lady!

Jason is filling my rx for Zofran and life should be good and I should be feeling tons better when he gets home tonight. Thank goodness! I was getting pretty sick and tired of being sick and tired! YAY! Now we should be able to go on our trip to Williamsburg this weekend! Woohoo! Feeling good AND going on another vacation. Pretty nice deal.
Thanks for all the good thoughts and kind comments here. It really means a lot. :)

I wish I was there to watch the baby so you could just go into a deep Phenergan induced sleep. The day after that stuff is the best ever.
Hang in there sweetie. We are all thinking about you.
Hope you get some relief soon.
