Looks like I'm going to Florida for 10 days! Cool! A free trip? I'll take it! My "mom" lives there and she needs me to go there and keep my 16 year old sister company while she is out of town on business. Woohoo! I'm going to the beach every day! Gotta stock up on books and (UGH!) find my bathing suit! But at least I'll be 10 lbs lighter than last year! Woohoo! Now, if I can just stay on Weight Watchers while I'm there. 16 year olds aren't known for their wonderful eating habits. Maybe if I cook a lot while I'm there...? I cannot undo all I've worked so hard on this past month or so! Gotta be good! And I'll have that bathing suit to fit into. That'll be a great motivator.

(Since when did this blog become all about my weight loss struggle? Never meant for it to be that, but I guess that's OK.)

I can't figure out how to upload a pic I wanted to put on here. I click on the upload button and nothing happens. Damn, I hate being so technology un-savvy. (Is that even a word? Well, it is now.) I wanted to add a pic I took yesterday when I went on my bike ride. There are the most beautiful houses in this neighborhood! I did get some nice pics of the sun shining prettily through the trees and such. I'm up to 12 miles on my bike now. It takes an hour and 25 minutes. I get up at 5:15 so that I can be on the road by 6:00. That just goes to show how much I enjoy riding because I am SO not a morning person! Now, I can go for the bike ride, come home, take a shower, and go back to bed for an hour or two and still be up in plenty of time to fix lunch for my DH when he comes home. I love summer! I am going to really be sad when school starts in the fall and I have to give up this lazy lifestyle. lol

On the road again

I have really been riding a lot lately. Yesterday I rode 11 miles. Today I only rode 7 because I took my digital camera and tried to shoot some early morning pics. I scared away half of my subjects (squirrels, a cardinal, 4 rabbits) with my squeaky brakes. I have got to get those fixed. I went shopping for some more appropriate biking attire. I cannot imagine myself in bike shorts. Ugh! Me and Spandex do not get along! But once you are on that bike for 30 minutes or so...well, let's just say that bad things happen to sweaty girls in a pair of jean shorts and leave it at that. I may have to break down and buy some bike shorts and to hell with what people will say when they see me in them. And on the subject of weight loss, I have lost 8 lbs! Yay! It is hard sometimes, but I know I will be thankful when I'm skinny. Only about 20 lbs to go till I reach my goal. I can do it. I will just say "I think I can, I think I can" until I do.

Oops! It's been a while since my last post. Since then, I've been busy doing Weight Watchers and exercising my butt off (literally!). Yesterday was my birthday. 26, woohoo. I decided that's the last birthday I'm having for a while. Even next year, I'll still be 26. Think I'll say I'm 26 until I quit getting ID'd or told I look like I'm 18.

I'm up to riding 8 miles on my bike. Farthest I've ever ridden and I plan to increase that by next week. We'll see how that plan goes. It may be a little ambitious, but I'll try.

I haven't worked anymore on Jenni's baby's quilt yet. The poor kid will be a year old before I get his baby quilt done if I don't get busy.

Jason and I are doing great. We watched Cold Mountain last night (or half of it) for my birthday. It is really good! Can't wait to finish the 2nd half tonight!
