Sometimes I wonder why we even bother...

Today, we took our class on a nature walk. We walked right past this house that has some unusual archetectural features and we call it "The Alphabet House" because if you look hard enough, you can see several letters in the decorative moldings and latticework of this house. This week we've been studying the letter A and this is one of the most noticable letters you can see when you look at this house. Mind you, this is FRIDAY and we've been studying the letter A all week. Apples, Noah's Ark, Acorns, Autumn, if it starts with the letter A, we've talked about it this week. What did we hear when we asked the kids what letter they could see at the top of this house? Crickets. Nothing else. Sigh. Let's see what happens when it's my turn to teach them the letter B next week.
