Wow! We had such a great time in Oklahoma! But, as some of you know, we didn't get to visit everyone. I ended up getting sick (AGAIN!) and pretty much just got around to visiting with my family. (Sorry guys! I miss you!) But we had a great time, ate way too much, played some cards with my family, gave almost everyone their Christmas presents, drove Jason's Camaro and truck that are still in OK, and visited with all Jason's family in the shop at his cousin's house like old times. I also bought a lot of OSU stuff (Yeah, yeah, Kristin, I know. Ha!ha!). We bought a laptop from my uncle and my mom got us a new digital camera for Christmas, so we have new toys to play with. To top it all off, my grandpa sent us home with a batch of his famous Peanut Butter Fudge (YUM!) that we had to hide from my cousins so it would make it to our house. 10 days was just not long enough, but we were starting to miss our KINGSDOWN bed and our cats, so it's good we came home when we did.
For those of you that I didn't get to visit, I'm sorry and I'll be sure to visit you next time! And I left my cell phone in my car at the airport, so I couldn't even call you! :(
For those of you that I did visit, I had a great time and hope to do it again sooner rather than later!
Now to do the 6 loads of laundry that accumulated on our trip. Man, how can 2 people have so many clothes?

We're leaving for OKC bright and early! Well, actually it will still be dark. We're going to be at the airport in Baltimore at around 4:30 am and it's at least an hour and a half drive to the airport. YIKES that's early! So, I'm gonna make this short and say goodnight.
Hope to see some of you soon! :)

A new diet! A friend sent this to me and I thought it was too funny not to share. Enjoy!
Pasta Diet:
1) You walka pasta da bakery.
2) You walka pasta da candy store.
3) You walka pasta da Ice Cream shop.
4) You walka pasta da table and fridge.
And for those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all the conflicting medical studies:
1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
4. The Italians drink excessive amounts of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
5. The Germans drink a lot of beer and eat lots of sausage and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans.
CONCLUSION:
Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you.

Yay, me! I just calculated my earnings w/Pampered Chef and I made $175.68 in October! Woohoo! And I have only done one Kitchen Show! (And 4 Catalog shows, and handed out countless catalogs and over 100 flyers in my neighborhood.) I haven't sat down to count up how much I've spent out of my own pocket so far for start-up costs, because I know that you have to spend money to make money. Still, I'm pretty proud of myself and hope that commission check keeps getting bigger each month. I'm pretty limited on how much I can talk about PC during the course of the day, but I think that's not too shabby for just starting out.
My first Kitchen Show was this past weekend. Jason went with me to carry in all my supplies and demonstrate a couple of things I can't quite do (Garlic Press, Apple Peeler/Corer/Slicer, etc) since my shoulder injury. He was really and truly my "right hand man". And such a handsome one, too! :) I think it was so sweet of him to help me when he could have spent his whole day in front of the tv, watching football. What a guy! The fact that it was at our friends Sonja and Chris' house helped, too cause he got to watch football with Chris after the show. Now he actually knows exactly what I do when I'm gone doing Pampered Chef shows and can see why I need a laptop!
Anyway, enough about business. I wish everyone could see the beautiful leaves this time of year in northern Virginia! A lady Jason works with took us to Berkeley Springs to a restaurant called Coolfont. It's a beautiful, rustic A-frame building that is out in the middle of nowhere. It has huge picture windows in the dining room and you can sit and enjoy your meal and watch the birds and squirrels running through the trees. This time of year, you can also watch the beautiful red, gold, and yellow leaves fall as the wind blows through the trees. It is so relaxing! Come visit me and I'll take you there! :)
Only 10 more days until we go home! Can't wait to see all my friends and family! We miss you all so much! Hopefully we get a chance to visit everyone, but please understand if we don't make it to visit each of you, we'll be sure to catch you on the next trip.
Whew! Today was so hectic that we had to unwind with a Watermelon Martini after work. It is good but STRONG!
Watermelon Martini
Mix 1 part Rose's Cocktail Illusions Watermelon Mix with 1 part vodka.
Thank goodness for spell check, cause you should have seen all the typos in this post! :)
Hope everyone is having a great night!
