I keep coming back to look at my blog 'cause it's so pretty! Just thought I'd finally post something today.
Hubby leaves tomorrow morning for VA. I won't see him until Thanksgiving. Then it will be another 3 weeks (almost until Christmas) until I see him again. Wah! Luckily, I have good friends and family who want to keep me busy while he's gone.
Today has been nothing but laundry, packing, laundry, and more packing. But last night I skipped my evening class to stay home and have pizza and beer w/my honey. It was fun. It was raining all night long and I didn't want to go to class anyway, so skipping sure was fun! We watched several shows about ghosts. In the dark. On the couch. With some beer. Fun night.

My blog is getting a new look! The ladies over at www.ciaomybella have graciously offered to redesign blogs as a way to get the word out about their business. Woohoo! Great news for the technologically challenged (like me.)
A big thanks to Mia for all her hard work! Can't wait to see the new layout.
In other news, my husband leaves in 2 days for Virginia! He starts his new job on Monday. I briefly contemplated withdrawing from my classes this semester to join him, to avoid us being separated for 6 weeks, but decided I've made it through this much of the semester, I might as well tough it out.
Expect many, many updates to the blog in the coming weeks. I'll need something to do.

I passed the OGET! (Oklahoma General Education Test) Of course, it won't do me a bit of good once I go to Virginia, but at least I passed!
In other news...
Do you ever have one of those days where you feel like you're on a treadmill. You know what I'm talking about. One of those days where you run and run but never seem to get anywhere? Oh yes. That's the kind of day I'm having. All I wanted to do today was bake cookies (my famous Snickerdoodles) for my friends in Stillwater that I'll be visiting later tonight. That was the one and only thing on my agenda. Or so I thought.
I've been running errands since 10:30 and won't have time to bake cookies. Wah!
Oh well! At least I got my errands done.
And mailed a pick-me-up gift to my hormonal (pregnant) sister. Hope you like it Bonnie-girl!
Here's wishing anyone that reads this a more productive day than mine.

I can hear my neighbors arguing. They are yelling and screaming and carrying on next door, like you would not believe. And this couple has got to be in their late 60s to early 70s. Both of them are hard of hearing, so yelling from their half of the duplex isn't uncommon. But this is not just loud talking they're doing...this is a doozie of an arguement. And it happens ALL the time! Lately they've taken to having these screaming matches indoors, lucky for me. They moved the fights inside after the neighbors (not us) called the cops on them. I was asleep, so I don't know for sure, but they say they were out in the front parking lot just screaming obscenities at each other at 6:00 am. Glad I'm a sound sleeper and missed out on that one.
I hate hearing them argue. It makes me sad for them and also makes me want to hug my wonderful husband. He's in Tulsa right now for a class and won't be home for another 2 and a half hours. :( I need a hug.

I'm getting a new car! Hubby should be driving it home from Tulsa right this very minute. Wish it wasn't dark so we could take it for a spin. Heck, we might just do that anyway! Goodbye 1989 Buick Regal...hello 2005 Chevy Malibu! Yay!
Happy Birthday to "The Original" Michele! I can't believe we've been friends for almost 15 years! Here's wishing you the best birthday ever! Wish I was closer to home! I miss you! Still working on your birthday present. (Hmm, bet you can't guess what it is!)
Here's a picture of my new baby. Her name is Pumpkin. She is so funny and sweet! My hubby even likes her.

Well, we just got back Monday night from our 4 day trip to VA. We met Jason's new boss and one of his coworkers and they are really nice. We also had a chance to check out the area a little, which put some of my fears to rest about moving there. I think once we get settled in, we'll really like it there. It is beautiful! And so close to major cities that I've never been to! I'm looking forward to seeing a new part of the U.S. and visiting places I've never seen. Hopefully we can find a house we can afford. Housing there is outrageous! Just when we were hoping to buy our first house, we have to move to a part of the U.S. where it costs and arm and a leg for a modest little house. UGH! Just our luck!
Oh well! Maybe we'll find something we can afford!
