Baby, it's cold outside! And because of my small but growing baby belly, I need a new winter coat. I thought I wouldn't need a new coat because when I'm pregnant I'm usually about ten degrees warmer than everyone else and I just KNEW I wouldn't need a new coat. BUT...I tried my coat on this week and it will only zip for another couple weeks or so and then it will be too small. Actually, ALL of my coats will be too small. I have so many nice coats but none of them will work because of the belly. Santa, will you bring me a new coat? :)

Ladies, did you buy a maternity coat? Did you just buy a bigger coat in a few sizes bigger but not maternity? Did you get lucky and not have to buy a new coat?

Also, while we're on the subject of Christmas...if your family is anything like mine, we really, truly don't need anything for Christmas. But if someone really feels the need to send gifts to the Crafty household...Head Country barbecue sauce, Ranch Style beans (so we can make Cowboy Beans), and Ralph's beef jerky are all things we can't get here that we really miss. Well and Braum's ice cream, but I don't think that's easily mailed. But really...we don't need a thing. I'll be buying myself a new coat and then we're pretty much set. Really. I promise! :)

I miss Braum's too. They are the only place I have ever seen german chocolate ice cream. They also have the best chocolate milk ever! I love chocolate if you can't tell:) We have a bbq sauce here called sweet baby ray's, if it is there you should try it. We love it.

Mandy,
I've been thinking about you a lot lately...I REALLY need to just pick up the phone and give you a call! We've got Sweet Baby Ray's here too and it is very good. We like it a lot and buy it all the time. My mother-in-law brought us some Head Country last time she came to visit and boy, I'd forgotten how good it is!
So glad the restaurant.com had one of your favorite places on it. I'm interested to see what happens when we try to use those gift certificates. The website says we should have no problem but I'm always a little leery of trying to use something I've printed off the internet. I wish they'd mail you actual gift cards or something a little more official looking than just a paper I printed at home. But then again, I did print the customer service info page so if we have any problem, I can call right from the restaurant parking lot if we need to. Hopefully we don't have that problem but at least I'm prepared if we do. :)

I promise, one of these days I'm really going to call you. Really! :) Thanks for dropping by.

Boy, your list is EASY! I wish I were less "wanting". For some reason, it seems like I THINK I "need" everything. Suddenly my shoes all look old and worn, my jewlery tarnished, my coats are ragged, my dishes are mismatched....etc. When someone asks what I want/need, I just say "anything you pick is probably on my list". Really what I want more than ANYTHING is a new camera...but I don't see that happening unless Matt's got $$$ stashed somewhere. I think the one I want is about $500. YIKES!
But Matt wants a deer rifle which is at least $500---so I guess we're even for wanting big things. (and not getting them!)
Anyway, as for maternity coats...I was prego with Brooklyn during winter (she was born Jan 11th). I went to Wal-Mart and bought a regular coat in an XL and it worked just fine. I think I probably bought the cheapest, comfiest thing I could find because looking back at it--Boy was it UGLY! Anyway, I wouldn't think you'd want to spend too much on a coat that you're sure to only get to wear for a few months...maybe you could look on E-bay or Craigs list?
