Update on my grandpa:
I made an emergency visit to Oklahoma on Saturday. Easton did so well on the flight! He's a regular pro at the whole flying thing. We went straight to the hospital once we got into town. I'm so glad we got there in time to say goodbye to my Pawpaw. He passed away this morning, just a few minutes after being taken off the ventilator. We are going to miss him so much! He was such a good, sweet, kind man and we are all blessed for having known him.

"How Beautiful Heaven Must Be"
We read of a place that's called heaven it's made for the pure and the free
These truethen God's words he had given how beautiful heaven must be
How beautiful heaven must be sweet home of the happy and free
There heaven of rest for the weary how beautiful heaven must be

In heaven no drooping nor pining no wishing for elsewhere to be
God's light it's forever there shining how beautiful heaven must be
How beautiful heaven must be...

The angels so sweetly are singing up there by a beautiful sea
Sweet chords from their gold harps are ringing how beautiful heaven must be
How beautiful heaven must be...

I bet he's up there in heaven cracking jokes and cooking up a big batch of peanut butter fudge for all his new friends.

Pawpaw, we will miss you! Thank you for taking such good care of all of us and for loving us just like we were your own.

The God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 1 Peter 5:10

I'm sorry to hear about your grandpa. I understand what you are going through. My grandma Helen (mom's mom, the one in Broken Arrow) passed away about a month ago. It was good you got see him. Let me know if you need anything.

Amy,

Please let everyone know I am thinking about them. I wish I could be there with you and Easton.

I am so happy I got to know Pawpaw Ed. I still remember the time when he and my Grandma met and realized they worked together years ago when he lived in Perry, the look on their faces was priceless.

See you soon,

Jason

Amy,

We're thinking about you and your family. I'm glad that Easton was able to meet his Pawpaw before he went to heaven. I know he may not remember him, but those pictures will be priceless. If I can do anything for you guys let me know. We love you and Easton!

So sorry for you and your families loss. My granny passed away in November. It is hard, but at least they are now with Jesus with no pain and full of joy. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Amy,
Death is such a hard thing to deal with. My grandma, who is living with my mom now (and has been for the past year and a half) has suddenly become very sick. To the point that our family is all trying to come and see her possibly for one last time. It breaks my heart. Especially for my mom..who has pretty much given up her LIFE to taking care of her. I am so grateful that my children have had the opportunity to know her though. I know that losing your grandpa is tough, but try to remind yourself that it's only temporary. You will be reunited with him someday in Heaven. I love it that you are imagining him up there cracking jokes and making fudge! You have such a good head on you! If I could somehow send you a big hug...
Love you lots! Enjoy every minute with that little guy of yours and when you're tempted to do housework instead of playing with him--think of your PawPaw and how temporary life is---and how making every moment count is really what its all about. Love you!!
