This weekend was a busy one! We had my office party Friday night. It was a lot of fun and we were given our Christmas bonus and a beautiful stoneware plate and ornament that were both made in Frederick county (where I work). I thought it was nice to get something unique to this area. I took a picture of us in our fancy Christmas party attire, but the batteries in my camera need to be charged before I can load them on blogger. (I'll do that as soon as I can locate the battery charger...may be a while!)
Saturday, Jason and I did the rest of our Christmas shopping. We took 2 vehicles so we could split up and buy each other's presents. I think we both had fun choosing each other's gifts. I bought all his gifts at Sears. (Yes, he already knows this.) You know, it is amazing the lengths men will go to in order to help other men get tools. What do I mean by this? I was looking at one particular item (No, I'm not telling what) and trying to decide whether or not the sale sticker posted on it was for this particular model. An older gentleman came down the aisle and was looking at the same item and began trying to help me decide if it was in fact, the cheaper price. This man even went so far as to track down a sales associate to ask and it turns out he wasn't even buying anything! He was just looking and happened to wander down that aisle. What a nice guy! Wish I had told him thank you again. (I did once, but I wish I'd told him how much I appreciated that!) Once I chose my gift, I was pushing a very full cart to the register and a man walking by said "Now, that is a woman who loves her husband!" I smiled and said "Yes, sir!" and proceded to the checkout. Honey, just remember that, OK? Because I do! :)
Then after we got all our shopping done, we went home, hid our gifts until we could wrap them and got ready for another Christmas party. This party was a lot of fun, too and I'll have to post a picture from that party later. (Yeah, you know...batteries.)
Today, we slept late, cleaned the house a little, wrapped some presents to get ready to mail out tomorrow and stayed in our pajamas all day. It was a nice day, but I've still got so much to do that I could use another day off!
Here's hoping everyone had a great weekend!
